I didn't have a USB-C port on my computer; that was more a future-proof thing. I say initially and "I'm waiting" for one reason. Initial reports from the field suggest a higher than expected failure rate on external SSD drives. As long as I'm using it for transport, that's no big. However, I am leery of using them as long term storage.

Over priced for the space

I have an older USB ports and the Adapter to USB C port did nothing but make the connection, so I was still slow moving files and with less money than other solutions. Do your own research and shop smart.

Portable Hard Drive

I want to say that I was only able to access 500GB of the memory instead of the 512 listed. The drive doesn't seem any faster than any other cheaper drive. Catch this on sale or try a cheaper drive.
