Basically serves as a USB flash drive

It's good for keeping backups of files, and transferring lots of data between devices. Because of the USB 3.1 gen 2 spec this drive supports, file transfers are very fast, which gives this a huge advantage over most flash drives and especially cloud storage. I wouldn't use this as a primary data storage drive however, as it's considerably slower at interfacing with most software reading off of it, and has huge file system overhead.
