Extra storage for my wd cloud. I purchased this item to add extra space to my cloud and it acted superbly did everything he was supposed to do I'm very happy. Set up was exceptionally easy

Transferring data onto a 1TB HD a couple of years ago used to be like pulling teeth. This hard drive is the staple of what these are made for. Extremely compact with outstanding transfer speed, there's no better portable hard drive out there!

Even though it's small in size, the handles a lot of data and is very easy to set up. Thinking about getting a larger size of the same product

Had a certificate I needed to redeem or lose so I decided to pickup another small portable drive. This one may not be the biggest or fastest around but it works fine (I use it on a Linux machine) and it's perfect as an emergency backup device.

I purchased this drive to do a physical-to-virtual migration of a Windows laptop, where I backed up the Windows 7 partition, wiped the disk and installed Ubuntu Linux, and then restored the Windows 7 partition into a virtual machine in case I still needed to occasionally run a Windows app. I used this drive along with a bootable USB thumb drive and the open-source Clonezilla software, and it worked flawlessly. I was impressed with the transfer speeds when using a USB 3.0 "SuperSpeed" port. I will note that I wiped and reformatted this Passport disk with the Linux ext4 filesystem, so I can't comment on the actual WD software. I bought this strictly for the hardware, and it works great for my purposes. Also, the case is very rugged and does a good job of protecting the drive. I feel confident just tossing it in my laptop backpack.

The external drive was a decent size, 1TB. It was very easy to install.

After reviewing and checking on so many choices to purchase a portable hard drive, I chose this one, and it works great, and very simple to use. I am able to back up all our Family pictures, data and Music in case one of our laptops breaks.

I got this to expand the memory of my Xbox one. Great investment for the money. I have plenty of space to load up on all my 360 games plus,the new ones I got. Halo takes up alot so this was just what I needed to keep up with all the updates.

It was very easy to set up. It is small, so it is not in the way at all.

I found this to be a great storage. You don't need to plug it in to AC. It runs nicely off of USB. It is 1TlB so it holds a lot of files movies etc. The main downside I found and its a big one is that if you so much as touch the cable between this drive and your computer or the drive itself, it looses its mind and you have to remove it and restart all you were doing

A most have for anyone who has a computer older than two years old. The best way to store flies, music, photos, video and be able to access it anywhere, anytime. I recommend this product for everyone weather a PC or Mac user like myself.

I needed a new portable drive to backup my mac air prior to an erase. I already had a passport from Best Buy, so I went back and bought another. Of course, I did my research on prices. There was a sale that week so I got a good price, too.

I needed a portable hard drive with large capacity and this was on sale. I have stored many songs and pictures on it and there is still room for more. 1TB is a lot of capacity. This hard drive can fit in your backpack.

I bought this for photo storage for my genealogy work and for all my photos taken through out the years of kids and family as a backup. Small and light weight, it travels well in my laptop bag and goes where I need to go. Great product.

great size, mobile, able to take anywhere, and fast to transfer data

I bought this WD - My Passport Ultra 1TB External USB 3.0/2.0 Portable Hard Drive - Classic Black to store my music. I bought the same item previously to back up my computer. I liked it so much I felt I needed another one for storage.

Asked the salesman what I should get to back up the photos on my laptop and he suggested the My Passport Ultra. Came with connecting cord, so all I had to do was plug it in the the computer then tell it to do the work. Super easy.

Good, simple product to use. Size is great for everyday mobility.

Purchased this to back up information from my computer and it works great and as expected. It's a great idea to use an external hard drive on a monthly basis to back up files and music, etc. and My Ultra Passbook does it so easily.
