      I bought it for a Carbonite standalone backup drive. It "links" up at USB 3 speeds. It is small, and a pretty deep blue color. It has done the job I had intended for it for several weeks now. Very happy with it. I disconnect it after a backup cycle.

      I have been using WD drives for awhile. Typically good experiences all around. Drive works well and has good speed. I also like the color option because it allows me to identify different hard drives which may be for different purposes much faster.

      Actually my wife bought this drive to back up her school work she was working on during one of her school class she was taking away from home. She was able to install it workout any of my help, I'm an IT person, and backup all her files. Great drive!
