My husband stole nine so I had to buy another one. Good back up drive. Easy setup does what it is supposed to do. Transfers files pretty quickly

I purchased this drive when my old Seagate 1T failed. My experience with WD drives has always been positive so switched back. Very happy so far.

Very fast read/write speeds definately bang for your buck. However, the "encryption/security" is poorly designed software so if your using it as a "passport" from different computers, it's gonna be a pain using the drive WITH security enabled. See below... I used the encryption software including with my WDBGPU0010BBK-NESN 1TB on Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 (work computer) to lock the drive. I was able to lock and unlock on this drive with no problem at work. I have permission to install programs on this computer. Three weeks after coming back to work and trying to open the drive via the WD Unlock software I get a "Windows cannot access the specific device..." error. I was able to use it at home on Windows 7 Home, but again I installed the original encryption/password on my work computer so why won't it let me access it?

Wanted something to store extra data this was ideal, the size is convenient for transport and all I had to do was plug it in to use it.

I am pleased with this device. It is very useful and easy to use. It is very good to have my files in a safety equipment like this. Thanks a lot.

My husband has been in charge of this product and uses this to backup our system. It is doing what it is suppose to do. Easy and simple to use.

Right price for what I needed. Needed extra storage for all my XBox movies & game downloads. Perfect.

More than enough room to back up images and documents but if you're looking for an external for your xbox or ps4 you'll want something bigger.

I own 2 of things and they hold a lot. It took me 2 years to finally run out of space. WD passport will always be the one I get.

Bought on sale. Performs as well as my other external hard drives (Toshiba, Iomega). Use primarily for backups and infrequently accessed files.

Bought it to backup my significant others MacBook Pro that only has a 256 GB SSD. She is a photographer so the RAW files fill up space pretty fast. Since she does not keep pictures no longer than 6 mos a TB is really all she wanted.

The external hard drive is great for storing data and is light weight and easy to transport so I can have access to my files anywhere I go.
