If you are using for Xbox it will need to be reformatted before first use. Now I just leave it connected to my Xbox One and it works perfectly.

I have an Acer laptop as well as a Samsung Chromebook and this will make it easier than putting everything in the cloud and having to log into different accounts.

Great online backup drive

The USB3 interface makes for fast backup cycles. The drive is large enough for most systems to get a full backup and daily incrementally. Highly recommended.
