This was my 3rd purchase of a WD external drive and haven't been disappointed yet. These drives are high quality and dependable.

nice and portable and reliable product backed my data

This portable hard drive is just what I needed to remove some files from my work laptop. 1TB is more than enough space to keep the old files, just in case I need them in the future. Very easy to install the software and begin transferring files to the hard drive. Very fast setup. Not that it matters, but the color is pretty too!!

I purchased this specific portable hard drive because the Best Buy associate told me it would transition well between my MAC and PC devices. Unfortunately, his set-up instructions were inaccurate (he told me to first connect the device to my MAC and look for a specific set up file). After connecting to my MAC, I could not find the file the associate identified and am not sure the device is working properly with my iMAC. I'm using the hard drive only with my PC (works fine with my ThinkPad).

Purchased this for my Girlfriend, she was fascinated with the vivid color, the software allowing to password protect the device using hardware embedded software is awesome and the device is really small, comfortable and easy to carry around. Works flawlessly and while the transfer speed is not the fastest on earth, it does great.

As usual, purchase at BestBuy is easy and serviced by knowledgeable sales staff. The drive works as expected and is very good.

I purchased the Western Digital 1TB External USB 3.0/2.0 Portable Hard Drive to back up my laptop files. It was very easy to setup and I just plug it into my USB Port on my laptop, drag and drop the files I want to back up and the transfer is completed within a very short time. The cable was include in the box so I was good to go.

Have used My Passport on other laptops, when I purchased a new laptop the My Passport Ultra was the way to go. Two weeks after purchasing a Microsoft Surface Windows 10 Anniversary got corrupted and had to be reinstalled, sure glad I had the backup or I would have spent hours trying to piece together data from other sources!
