This is a small easy to use storage device. No problem connecting to a Mac and easy transfer.

I purchased this drive as a backup for my Dish Network DVR receiver. Although the receiver said the Ext HD needed to have its own power source I figured I would try it and IT WORKED without any issue ! Exactly what I needed to backup all my DVR recordings or transfer them.

From having owned other Western Digital portable hard drives I have found them to be more versatile and dependable than other brands at a comparable or more favorable price.

I've purchased a few of these drives and have been very satisfied with the product for years.

Excellent external hard drive. I've owned many Western Digital externals over the years and this is just as good as the others. The included backup software I don't use since I just back up what I need manually. If you're in the market for an external look no further.

Seems to do the job for storing computer files. Compact in size and holds a lot of files

I have used this for Time Machine on Macs and Windows/Norton Backups on PCs and it runs great!

My first drive failed while I was on vacation. When I returned I open a case with WD and via online support got a replacement sent to me within 2 days. They were supper to work with. The new drive is happly backing up my data. It was very easy to set up a scheduled backup.

I just bought this external hard drive a few weeks ago, haven't storage 25% of its capacity yet, professional (big) pictures and HD videos are well handle by this device. Only time will tell how durable it is. I will recommended based in my up to day experience. 07/05/16

My friends dad has like 5 of these so when my Toshiba external went bad I had to try it out.

I use this to backup my main PC and then keep it at work for an offsite backup.

used to back up hard drive before having to replace original hard drive in desktop computer. this is my second Western Digital external portable hard drive that I have. My first one has pictures and my daughter music on it. Still working great and it is about 8 years old.

So happy the Geek Squad was able to retrieve my data and load onto this new external drive!

I have always chosen WD for my back up drives. Have never had any problems with them at all.

I made a copy of a hard drive and network drive and was very happy with the transfer rate.

I love that this external hard drive can be partitioned as a back up and as a "jump drive".
