I was able to fully utilize the USB 3.0 connection. It is much faster than 2.0

Plug and play as external hard drive for XB1. Directions are literally 3 easy steps. Heads up though, once you decide to use it for video games there is no going back and you cannot mix files once formatted (Ex: either photos/Word docs or videogames).

I purchased this back-up drive after installing Windows 10 on my laptop. Windows 10 created a windows old folder with 16GB of files I wanted to delete.The software doesn't back-up all of the files on the computer but only certain types. I had to manually select the windows old folder and copy it to the drive.

I bought this to store personal files from the office storage. The drive was instantly recognized and formatted for Windows system. I was able to open and then quickly add my files to the device.

This external was exactly what I was looking for. I would recommend it to others.

This is my third WD My Passport portable HDD, because I liked the first two so much. I use them for backing up my home desktop, and for bringing the data with me on trips. The drives are light, easy to use and quick with their USB 3.0 connection.

You will not be disappointed with this purchase. I have been able to clean up my laptop of all the clutter and quickly organize all the files and pictures that I have on this hard drive. It is super quick to set up, no drivers needed to install.

I bought this 1 TB external drive as a backup for my photographs. Since I use RAW images and they are about 24 MB each, hard drive space is a premium.This drive allows me to store finished images while leaving my 1 TB laptop drive for processing.
