Bought this for my son to store his music. Love the size. Small and easy to store/hide in desk. Large storage / thought I meet need two but this is perfect.

I bought this disk drive with the intention of 1) moving items between computers and 2) archiving important data (mostly photos) offsite. So far it has worked just fine uploading from my old PC on Win7 and copying to my new PC on Win10. When I get everything on there, I plan to remove it and put it in my safe deposit box for offsite storage. (Hey we get a lot of tornadoes in Oklahoma!)

If I can't use flash this is the next best thing. Speeds are good, especially in usb 3.0 and the drives have been very reliable for an external. The one downside, if you care, is that these cannot be shucked or the drives swapped out. They aren't standard SATA drives inside and the controller is hard welded in. Other than that, tough to beat for the money.

Needed a small compact portable storage for travel and it fits the bill perfectly. The small size with large storage is ideal for me. The price is probably the best I found while researching and comparing different products. An excellent product.

When my main computer died, I switched my backup (on the original passport) to a new computer and all my files were there--except one that I needed for an audit in a few days. The Geek Squad copied the files from my old salvaged hard drive to the new passport. I got through my audit, I have two drives, and I use them both. Fixed the problem of not backing up my database and all is great.

Have had no problems with this hard drive. It is very user friendly and small.

I needed a backup drive for Windows 10 system backup. I prefer the Western Digital drives. This is a great drive, with a lot of space at a great price.

Works great as external back-up for my aging laptop. Everyone needs to have external backup to protect valued pics and files. Never know when you will have drive failure and loose everything. 1TB of storage at a reasonable price. May not be the fastest thing out there but it works and WD is a trusted mfg. Didn't bother with the bundled software so no opinions on that part.

Works great bought it because my xbox hard drive was bad now I'm saving all my games to this little passport and can play continuously with no problems.

I bought this 1 TB My Passport drive during the Black Friday sales in Nov 2016. It allows me to easily move files between multiple computers, and to back-up critical files I don't want to lose. Would highly recommend this product.
