This works well for a simple data backup. It's fussy about what port it's plugged into, so once you set it up, do not move it! I needed something inexpensive at the last minute, and this thing does what it needs to do. It's not as user-friendly as a more expensive model, but it's ok.

I needed to save all of my information off of my old computer (the keyboard was starting to be non-functioning) before buying a new computer and this was an easy way to do this.

I did my research on the fail ratio between seagate and western digital before I made my purchase. I wanted it to be compatible between my mac and pc and I was helped with configuring it to do both by a very nice gentleman by the name of Mr. Finn. He was very knowledgeable and helpful.

For the price this is one of the best portable storage systems I've found yet. Powers through the connection USB so no external power pack needed, good design and very easy to use.

This hard drive is great! Replaced my old hard drive with this and it completely backed up everything on the old drive and still has plenty of space to back up computer files

The WD - My Passport Ultra 1TB External USB 3.0/2.0 Portable Hard Drive - Noble Blue is a great deal and provides ample storage for what I needed. Plus it is a nice shade of blue!

Hard Drive works well to back up computer. We especially feel it is important to back up photos on our computer. This Hard Drive is easy to use & does the job we purchased it for.

I have always loved Western Digital Hard drives.. they are reliable and have never given me any issues. I like the different colors too, so I can tell which drive I need quickly.

I needed an external drive to store home videos on. This one was on sale and it was a brand I am familiar with. I plugged it in, loaded the videos, and it has worked great.

Even using USB 2.0 it transfers faster than my other (albeit older) portable drives. Would not hesitate in recommending. With initial use my pc recognized it almost immediately.

Purchased this external hdd for a customer. Backed up their data from their existing laptop onto it, about 37GB total. I cannot say how well the USB 3.0 speeds work because i was using it on an older laptop with only USB 2.0 Overall, this is a good product for cheap external storage.

This is the first portable hard drive I have ever purchased. It's size and capacity is phenomenal as it fits very nicely in my work bag and I barely notice that it is there.

This is a great Value for anyone who needs to backup photos & video on the go. Larger files take awhile to transfer, but it's plenty fast for playback of 4K video content.

The earlier version included a case, that additional amenity would have earned the product 5 stars.

I have downloaded all my pictures and music from three devices and still have so much room for more so I back up everything on here once a month! My sons whole life is on here!
