Gave this as a gift to someone who takes a lot of photographs. They could not be happier with how well and easy to use this is.

This drive works great. I use it to save security DVR footage, as a DVR on my antenna HDMI box and for storage on a cheap laptop.

I normally buy only seagate but a friend told me to get this one. very happy, it is quick, small and very fast. would buy again

This unit has improved technology over my previous external drive. Convenient and portable even though I'm still using USB 2.0.

I use it for storage of photos only. I only attach it to this use. It is put safely away after transfer so no viruses get them.

Funny how we don't follow our own advice like to back up everything you own just in case. Well 'in case' happened and I hadn't backed up all my stuff as I had intended but fortunately I was able to spend 200 bucks to get it off my old computer. If I had just backed it up I could've saved myself the money. So don't be like me. Buy one of these drives before your computer crashes and back up all your stuff, especially the stuff you don't ever want to lose. Oh, this comes in a really pretty blue, too.

I bought this hard drive for my son's Xbox one and it works as advertised. I'll prob be buying another for backing up my computer.

This is my second unit because I ran out of space on my first one. Its quite and reliable. It does what its supposed to very well.

This is a great external USB hard drive to save my homework assignments and light enough to transport with me everywhere I go.

I was deciding between this and the Seagate hard drive but heard from several of my techy friends that work in video editing jobs that require hard drives to store a lot of there media storage that WD Passport was the way to go! I have owned mine for 2 months and have not had no issues. I gave a 4 star because there's a small process before setting it up that you need to go through in order for it to work on MAC computers. It wasn't difficult but not convenient for Mac OS users. If you don't already know how.. you will mostly likely be looking up a YouTube video on how to format hard drive to work for Mac. There is also no "TimeMachine" on it for Mac like Seagate Hard drives. Other than that it's an overall snappy hard drive with no major issues!

These are great for the price and for storage. Not the best speeds when trying to work directly off of them, but if I wanted that I'd be paying a whole lot more, so these are great for what I need and that is storage.

Just the right amount of extra storage, I purchased 2 of these 1TB WD external Hard Drives in the past you wont be disappointed.

It was recommended that I back-up my computer and it was a very good advice. Easy to install and it doesn't take long to back-up.

I own another one of these external hard drives and they have always been great. No issues whatsoever and setup is real easy.

I bought two of these for my sons. They use them as backup for their Xbox Ones. They seem to work great. No complaints here.

I like the 256 bit encryption and auto backups. Is fast and efficient and compatible with all systems. Have not had any problems.
