Customers are saying
Customers enjoy the My Passport Ultra 1TB external hard drive's ease of use, ample storage, and reliable performance. Many appreciate its compact size and find it to be a good value for the price. The USB connectivity is also frequently praised. While some users found the included software less than intuitive, the positive feedback on other features outweighs this concern.

Excellent portable drive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this drive for backup purposes in preparation for swapping the OEM Apple SSD for a more capacious SSD. The backup and restoration went flawlessly. Now the drive is used for routine backup via Time Machine. The available colors and bumpers are a nice touch for selecting the drive and protection from bumps. Recommended.

Great for external back ups of a system!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use several of these as a second target (redundant) back up location for image back ups of production servers. File back up solutions over LAN had proven faulty due to windows permission errors. These have proven totally reliable and have come into play twice already. A proven excellent investment for a major customer!

Compact, fast USB 3 backup & storage
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The WD Passport Ultra drive was priced right and provides speedy backup and storage when used with a USB 3.0 port. 1gb may not sound like a lot, but this is more than adequate for keeping a current image of my laptop's drive as well as backing up important files, pics, etc. I like that this comes with encryption software.

For a beginner, meaning this is a first for me.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the first time I have ever used an external harddrive. I wanted something to save personal files to, so I could elimate my desktop computer.I wanted to give the computer to grandchildren to play games on. I also had just bought a new laptop. This worked great for moving my personal files to. I really like this.
