Easy to use device that required very little set-up. The included instructions made getting started a breeze.

Bought this specifically for backups. I have used it on windows backup and for time machine backups on a mac.

This portable HD has a sturdy feel and should hold up well as an offsite backup. A longer USB cable would be helpful. I am using Windows 7 backup for compatibility, so I can't rate the included WD software. Price was aligned with other suppliers.

Bought this drive for my xbox 1. I plugged it via USB and it worked fine. The only complaint I have is that the white blinking activity light on the drive can get annoying in a very dark room.

This drive is great and easy to use. I combined everything on my smaller USB and still had tons of space.

I download music daily and I don't see myself filling this up. It's also very easy to use. Just plug it up.

It was easy to set up. Just plug it in basically and the computer recognizes it. It seems to be working fine. I haven't used it that much yet.

I'm a field engineeer and run around with my laptop form site to site and at times need to pull data from the systems I work on. I used to just store all the data onto my laptop but then realized the storage on my laptop was starting to get full fast. So I grab on of these external HD and since I knew WD had a good reputation I chose it . Now I backup everything on to the WD and free up all that space on my laptop. Great to have on the go.

Bought it for my wife and she loves it. Stores both work and personal items from spreadsheets to pictures.

I use this as a way to store all of my photos while on vacation. I save each day's photos in the evening. It is fast and compact making it each to travel with. It is rugged and travels well.

I like Western Digital products, seems to work very well, speed-wise and installation was a breeze. I like the added option of color so I could distinguish it from other electronic gadgets.

you need to buy your own hdd storage if your hdd with mac or pc is full. i strongly recommend to buy this.
