Good product for the price, very compact and would recommend it.

Both of my father-in-law computers were attacked by a ransomware virus. At first we thought his Carbonite backup was also infected but we learned they had multiple versions and could go back a few days to an uninfected version. For the future, we decided to add a second local backup option that would be disconnected between backups. My Passport Ultra 1TB offered a lot of storage in a small package. The included software was very easy to setup and use. The price was reasonable enough to buy one for each computer.

Bought this for my wife for Christmas and all she had to do was plug it into the computer and it did the rest on its own. Make sure you install the software after it finishes uploading to ensure that all files are saved on it.

My son has an 500GB XBOX one and he ran out of space within two weeks. This hard drive saved the day because he was one of those kids who would delete a game just to have space for a demo. Now, he has all the space he needs.

I have a lot of valuable pictures and information on my computer I would hatte to lose. I use this "removable" drive to do a speedy back-up (it has USB3) of all of my valuable info and then store it Off-Site for protection.

Great for backups, extra storage, price for the size is good, light to carry around on the go, then plug it in or tape to laptop.

Having a small backup drive is a must have for all computers, regardless if you use cloud services - you can create snapshots and backups of machines, and also store sensitive data on your own controlled storage devices.

I've used a WD Passport for years, and now I've found the 500Gb device is about crammed as full as it can be. So time to get more storage and I found the big brother, the Passport Ultra 1Tb HD. Lots of space, and with USB 3.0 transferring files to/from the device is fast. While I've only had this unit a little over a month, I expect this one should last me for years to come. WD has always produced quality storage devices, and this one seems to be yet another example of their fine list of products.

Easy set up. Great way to keep organized. Inexpensive.

Drive is silent and works as expected. Plug and play. I've moved data to and from this drive many times and unplugged with without disconnecting in the OS and it still keeps chugging along without any issues.
