This was purchased to replace a Seagate drive that bricked on me. So far I have not had any issues with it, and has been smooth sailing since day one. WD is a reputable name, so I am glad I gave them a shot.

I use the hard drive for downloading movies and music. I can connect the external hard drive directly to my smart tv, laptop or ps4 and enjoy watching the movies I have downloaded or listen to my music files. Also, not bad for price. I paid about $50 for it.

I purchased this hard-drive when my laptop's hard drive was filled with numerous videos. I then decided to purchase because it is portable and it has 1tb of memory, and I have no regrets. It looks beautiful and it is no eye-sour, it is portable and easily fits in my bag and takes a beating, and the price is reasonable for a 1tb of memory. I do not think anyone can ask for more.

I love my passport my laptop has a 320gb hard drive and it was running little slow but when I installed The my passport I saw a big difference in my laptop it was a lot faster and it work great with windows 10

Does what you'd expect it to do. I'm using it as extra storage for an Xbox One and it works perfectly. Small form factor and was recognized with no problems. You can't go wrong with this drive at this price.

This is a reasonably priced option for providing peace of mind by backing up my files every few minutes. This product affords the security of knowing that I have control of both my original and back-up files.

So easy to setup and operate, even for a non- computer literate user. My first choice always and small enough to disconnect and take home for safety or use.

I am very pleased with my Passport. It is compact; taking up very little space on a cluttered desk giving me assurance that the many projects I am working on can not be lost (family history, pictures etc).

WD hard drives are always the choice for me. I've a friend who has his own computer repair/build shop and keeps track of dead HDD.. Western Digital is by far and away the least troublesome for him.. And me!

Easy to install and use. No issues. Great Plug N Play device. i copied almost an entire TB from another drive with no problems. Shipped the drive via mail to another location and it arrived with no damage.

compact size and quick copying. one issue though is when my computer sleeps or shuts off upon turning back on the hard drive cannot be accessed and has to be unplugged from computer and reconnected....every time! Running windows 7 but don't have any issue with my old Maxtor external hard drive that is always connected.

Needed to quickly grab a drive to transfer a video project to a work colleague for editing. Was in and out of the store in a flash and able to hand off the project without a hitch. Love these little drives!

I've only had it for a couple months but so far it does everything I need it to and it's pretty easy to use. Happy with it so far and I'm sure it will work fine for a long time. Comes highly recommended.

I ordered this in order to transfer documents from my laptop that is on the verge of going on to greener pastures. It was super easy to set-up and was essentially a click and drag concept, which I loved. I was able to transfer all the documents and photos from my computer and load it up within 30 minutes or so. I just store this unit until I need to access something from my new machine. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a solid backup for documents.

I wanted to replace the hard drive on my macbook. This external hard drive was easy to use and automatically backs up my mac! I highly recommend this for anyone that is looking for an external hard drive.

Face it we all have tons of data we say we will put on one device so we will have it (photos, music, documents) should something happen to our computer/tablet. This device makes that really easy. There is enough storage for the average person and their family to make it worth it. Small, portable, and quiet. Even can be locked with a password to keep out nosy people. Did I mention you can encrypt the drive too! All your data in an easy to use backup system.

I purchased these to replace my old Lacie D2 Quadra desktop drive for my mac when I upgraded to a new Retina model with no firewire port. I needed a drive to backup time machine and use as extra storage but I wanted something cheap, USB 3.0 and most importantly quiet. I got this drive on sale and I could not be happier. I had no problem partitioning the drive and I am amazed at how quiet it is. While this drive definitely not a top tier drive (as it is 5400rpm and only a 2.5 drive) I believe the price easily justifies the means and I would highly recommend it.
