What can you say about an external hard drive. If you can plug and play and have it not fail - it is great. Well that is this one. I have bought two of them now!

Easy to pug and play type set up. I knew very little about extra drives. But I made this work right from start up.

As usual a quality device from western digital. Works fast and is easy to use. The only trouble I ran into was initially installing it on my Windows 7 laptop. Took a couple minutes of online searching to find the driver because it did not automatically install.

I have three of these drives and have had great success with them. Fast access and dependable. I carry them around and have not had any issues with reliability.

Excellent tool to periodic backups of your computer. I highly recommend this product. Reliable and easy to reload to another computer if your computer fails.

Small size with huge memory and it works awesome. Portable to carry and use

Good size and speed. Using it for backup and portable storage. Hard drives are not exciting and I am OK with that. Just keep my STUFF! It does that. Thanks.

Great external storage for my pictures and videos. I was able to easily navigate through set up and it is very easy to restore the information I store on it.

My Mom needed a product to backup her computer, so we got this and so far backup software has done what it should do.. easy install and very user friendly.

Does the job quite nicely as a storage drive. The included software is basic but does what it's supposed to do - help you back up your computer's hard drive.

wife bought this to store photos off of cameras, and phones, worked for what she wanted it to do. Neither of us will ever shoot enough photos to fill this.

This WD external hard drive has more room than I imagined. It was very easy to set up on the computer. Works perfectly. Moves pictures and files very fast.

very good ,its work in all systems. Its easy to use and good for the price.

Great for backing up all kinds of data & files. Its compact & slim design allows for ease of access & mobility.

My Passport Ultra 1TB External USB 3.0/2.0 Portable Hard Drive works as it should. Very small and great on board software to do your backups automatically.

This is my second drive from this brand. Foolproof to me. Worked well after the first plug in. Helped me to transfer my i-tunes content to a new computer.

This unit was purchased to create live rsync backups of two 500gb equipped mac minis. By partitioning the drive into two 500gb partitions, I can have live, bootable backups for both machines on a small drive I can store in my firebox. I chose WD over Seagate because the Seagate unit of this size/price has a poor connection while the WD connector is much better. Also, WD has 1 more year of warranty. Oh, and it's blue instead of boring black or grey. This will connect and is easily powered by my usb 3.0 hub, but it is not a UASP device, so it can't compete with the internal SATA drive for speed, but my primary use for it is as a cold backup in case of catastrophic failure taking out the drive and time machine backups. Overall, I'm satisfied with the drive, but would only consider purchasing it while on sale- the regular marked price is excessive in my opinion.

I needed the extra space to store years of family pictures. The size is great and so far I've had no issues with it. I plan to purchase another as a backup.

I've always had a WD portable HD to use with Time Machine on my Mac. This one was a good replacement for the one that I was using which gave up the ghost...

Bought it for someone else as a Time Machine for Macbook backup. Reportdely does the job well. Large memory; should be more than enoughl. Reasonable price.
