This drive is a good value. Works as expected. I used it mainly for backups and when a flash drive does not have the capacity for a lot of files. I cannot make comments on reliability yet, but no problems so far.

When I went looking for this I debated between this portable hard drive and some thumb drives. The portable hard drive won out because of the MUCH bigger capacity. The drive does take up more space than a thumb drive but with the increased storage space this to me was a no brainer. Western Digital makes great drives. If the physical size is not an issue I would going with the larger capacity hard drive but if you need the portability of a thumb drive due to size limits then perhaps a thumb drive will suite your needs better. As I say this hard drive works better for me. Perhaps it will for you as well.

We needed something to back up our computer files to and found this hard drive. We can easily me files to and from this device, it works just like a USB thumb drive.
