I needed a simple external hard drive for pictures. This was easy to install and format and is small enough to fit right into a fire box for safe keeping.

Got this hard drive for the portability and it is fantastic. Compact and lots of storage. Have also dropped it a few times and it still works well.

I bought this for my daughter for Xmas, she always ran out of room on her laptop with this she has plenty of storage now and it was very easy to setup.

I've used the Passport many times, own 4 units, it's practically idiot proof to use. A very good friend that is using a 10 year old laptop has it so loaded up that it's the slowest thing I've ever seen. Now he refuses to upgrade to a newer model. So I decided ,since it was on sale, to gift this 1Tb. ultra to him.Well he has since transferred all his video and picture files, plus now he backs up his unit. He is running Vista OS and will soon not have support from Windows.... next we'll get him to invest in a new laptop but for now he's running a lot faster.

Bought this to make back up of daughters college computer. Easy set up and quick.

I bought this to help me transfer my data from my old computer to my new one. This product is cheaper than having Best Buy transfer your data for you, and best of all, it's great for backing up all my important data!!! They even help me set it up and made sure I knew how to do the transfer. Very nice. They did tell me though to make sure it doesn't get moved around too much while it's turned on so none of the inner workings get damaged accidentally.

WD is still the best in 2016. Built well, reliable, smooth and compact. Performs well, doesn't get hot, reasonably quiet. The pricing is a good value.

This is a great compact and portable drive at a really good price. I have had several other WD products in the past and I've always been satisfied.

This external hard drive does more for the money than others. Worth the investment for good storage. comes with additional programs that are very helpful.

Bought this to store my pictures, documents, etc. Was perfect and still have a lot of space left. Glad I went with this one. Super easy to use as well.

If you want an easy-to-use backup device, then this is the product for you. Don't hesitate. I never thought a one terabyte product could be this small.

I have several of these Western Digital drives for back up and storage and have never had a problem. They have been very reliable and easy to use.

Have to get a second one because of two different operating systems -Mac and PC
