I bought this to transfer movies to and plug into my wired and wireless network. I use an iMac so I was a little concerned that it might not work. I reformatted it as instructed and it works great. I have usb 2.0 and the transfer speeds are faster than I expected. The great thing is I can simply unplug it and take it with me to friends. Great investment. I really like it.

Just what I was looking for, priced right and in store made correct choice

Got this to mainly store pictures. Price was great for the amount of storage and since I usually get WD drives, I know how reliable they are.

Computer did not immediately recognize the USB drive, but once they shook hands the download went well. Using the portable as a backup and have not needed to use it as a rescue yet, but small size is very convenient and price was good.

This Western Digital drive has been a hard worker since the day I bought it. I needed something fast to consolidate info on older systems and provide a backup for pictures, files, etc. It has been nothing, but perfect. Would highly recommend.

I have moved my archive for photography onto this drive, and access is still fast enough to process and edit raw files smoothly. Bulk transfer is as fast as any usb 3.0 device, and the hard drive is quiet, adding one more low hum to my desk.

so this is the second hard drive that i bought from bestbuy. it works really fast on my laptop, and it is compatible with both pcs and macs. the overall quality is good, and it is very easy to carry it in your bag for eveyday use.
