Excellent. Small yet huge storage. Inexpensive. This is portable or can be easily kept in a computer bag or purse or even your pocket.

I bought this to add storage to my xbox one, that is what it does.

Did the job for what I needed it for. Needed to backup my computer.

Just what I needed to backup my files. Has plenty of storage space and since it's portable, I can take it with me and upload anywhere.

I use these 1 tb drives to record over air broadcast TV shows. I don't know what happened to the previous one. I was able to view and copy recorded shows but could not delete them or record new shows. It was at least a couple of years old and used a lot. Hopefully this one will last a little longer. I have some 2 tb drives that I've had longer that still work fine, but aren't used as much. Maybe I'm being optimistic with five stars, but I can't rate this new one on the failure of the old one. Fingers are crossed.

Nice hard drive for the price especially when it's on sale for $60

Have other WD portable HD in the past, this is a good one as well. Good for backing up large photos and home movies for traveling.

This is a great way to store pictures and documents. Much better than burning to CD or DVD. Very easy to use. Takes up very little space.

I had to choose between the seagate 1tb and the Western digital 1tb. Based on research I found online, the Western digital has a lower chance of failure. Obviously, the drives' life depends on the consumer's usage. Once I plugged it into my computer, the software was booted up and asked if I wanted to backup any files on cloud service. The process did not take long. To write 140gb of files into the drive; if I can recall correctly, it took about 30-40 minutes. All in all, great portable hard drive for the price.

Bought to make sure that business info was backed up. It has been easy to use and holds a lot of stuff for anything you need it to.

Bought the product on sale during December and have not been disappointed. It is easy to use and small which is great for packing.

It appears to be working, but, I guess I have no way of knowing unless I have a need to retrieve the data that it is supposed to be storing. My hope is that when/if I lose another hard drive that I will not have lost my data again. That was a bummer!! I trust the associates in the various departments at Best Buy to sell me a product that is sufficient to meet my needs and they have never failed me in many years

As a back up hd, this gets the job done. No more, no less. Solid.
