Love WD drive. Very durable and reliable. I use these terabyte drives to store case data for forensic data images without fail.

Western Digital includes the option of encrypting the drive, backup software and no external power required. The only missing option is to mirror your computer but there are options available through other software developers.

I bought two of these units for backup and as repository of our photo libraries, the hardware is just fine for this. Our old machine, though, is still running XP and found it not entirely compatible with and slowed down considerably by WD's software. I removed the freeware and the machine runs much better now, though complete removal was a pain.

Picked this up as an external HD for the XBOX One. Great price and easy setup. I've had several drive failures on other brands, but WD has been a very stable product, one I certainly trust with my data and in this case, games.

Worked well for moving files. Have not used the backup software yet. Color is very nice. Size is good. Plug and Play. No negatives.

External USB highly recommended to keep as a back for your computer in case it goes down for any reason. A good reason to buy it

This is a great product for a great price. It handles all usb demands, nice speed transfering, small and stylish, and comes with 256 bit encryption, without slowing down. Not only is this product great, my Xbox one s formatted this product for Xbox use only. After, I wanted to use it for music storage on Windows 10, but my computer was unable to recognize the device. Geek squad took care of this problem in 2 minutes and charged nothing. My review is for the product and the service via Best Buy.

Excellent little drive with great speed (USB 3). I wanted a place to hold a lot of pictures and music and this works really well.

I buy WD external drives because they are reputed to have lower failure rates than competing brands. WD's lower failure rates don't mean they won't fail eventually, but I've bought dozens of internal and external drives and never needed a warranty replacement from WD. I use several My Passport Ultras to keep multiple backup sets. Ease of use and speed are as expected (USB 3 speed is excellent; USB 2 speed is tolerable). I'm happy with my existing backup software, so I've never tried the free backup software WD offers with the drives. Tips: The USB 3 cable packaged with the drive is too short (thus only 4 stars); buy a longer one. And disconnect the drive when you aren't actually using it -your data will be more secure and the drive will last longer.

Solid drive. Great compact size. Perfect for me because I take media back and forth from offices a lot. Great for working mobile.

A great way to save pictures, music and documents and video

This hard-drive is sleek, small, lightweight, portable and fast. It copies and plays things at a very high speed. I love it.

Needed more space on my Xbox One and this hard drive was easy to set up and now I've got plenty of space to add more games.
