Customer Ratings & Reviews

Had trouble with my old external drive, this was a great value for other external drives offered.

I've never used a backup before and this one was very easy to use even for a "non-tech" person!

this is a great little product that has a lot of memory. it syncs well with my toshiba computer.

I love Western Digital hard drives, and have no hesitation buying or recommending them. I have bought from another competitor (SG initials), only to have them give up after a few short years, but my WD drives just keep humming along. They just work, and are reliable.

Dunno,Gave it as a gift.Dunno,Gave it as a gift.Dunno,Gave it as a gift.Dunno,Gave it as a gift

Got this as an external hard drive to carry around with me. Sleek and was easy to setup and use.

SLEEK BUT BIG IN STATURE WORKS WELL PICTURE MADE IT SEEM BIGGER THAN IT REALLY IS NICE PRODUCT

This is a small easy to use storage device. No problem connecting to a Mac and easy transfer.

The reviews seemed really good. The hard drive is small and sleek. I plugged it in and my iMac read the hard drive but it wouldn't let me load anything into the hard drive. I had to reformat the hard drive to make it mac compatible. Other than that everything is as described. Took off the one star for having to reformat the hard drive. It's a very easy process just wished it was already compatible with mac.

From having owned other Western Digital portable hard drives I have found them to be more versatile and dependable than other brands at a comparable or more favorable price.

I've purchased a few of these drives and have been very satisfied with the product for years.

I purchased this drive as a backup for my Dish Network DVR receiver. Although the receiver said the Ext HD needed to have its own power source I figured I would try it and IT WORKED without any issue ! Exactly what I needed to backup all my DVR recordings or transfer them.

I have used this for Time Machine on Macs and Windows/Norton Backups on PCs and it runs great!

Was what our son in law mentioned on wish list. He was excited to get it. Is already using it

Excellent external hard drive. I've owned many Western Digital externals over the years and this is just as good as the others. The included backup software I don't use since I just back up what I need manually. If you're in the market for an external look no further.

Works great. I highly recommend this portable hard drive. Compact and easy to set up and use.

My first drive failed while I was on vacation. When I returned I open a case with WD and via online support got a replacement sent to me within 2 days. They were supper to work with. The new drive is happly backing up my data. It was very easy to set up a scheduled backup.

My friends dad has like 5 of these so when my Toshiba external went bad I had to try it out.

happy to have this back up when necessary. This back up has come in handy many times already

So happy the Geek Squad was able to retrieve my data and load onto this new external drive!
