Especially with all the ransomware viruses around these days, backups are essential. And not just one backup, but multiple backups, so if one is corrupted, you can still recover from an earlier backup. This TB drive is perfect. I have three of them, and am giving more away as Christmas gifts. Easy to install, tons of room, very economical, and I've never had trouble with any of the ones I use.

I bought this to be able to bring documents with me on the go. I feared it would be hard to use but when they say it's plug and play they truly mean it. It was quick and simple to use. It does the work for me now that it pulls every thing once plugged in and for being so little it hold so much and hardly drains on my chrome books battery which I thought it would considering I have to be gone from home 12 plus hours a day and these two work together greatly and smoothly

I needed an external hard drive that was inexpensive and simple to use to store lots of pictures, files from school, research, videos, and more. It was an easy configuration for apple products. It helped to speed up my computer (it was becoming slower because of the lack of space), now it's in tip-top shape. Great external, great price, just get it. No regrets.

This product performs as advertised. Using Windows 10, the drive connected immediately with no tweaking on my part. Downloading to the drive is faster than expected. Overall a good product without any hassles. Compact in size. I have used this drive for system imaging and file backup. To date, all system images were completed quickly without errors.

High reliability. Fast and small. On sale a great buy. We have maybe 50 of these that we use almost daily. We have bought probably 20 more that we have passed on to clients. Only 2 have ever failed and both of those in the last year. I'd say these are highly reliable for 3 years of daily use. Then shelve them and replace. We had tried Seagates before this but had way more failures. It was clearly a different quality Hard Drive then these..

These little gadgets keep getting smaller . . . and better all the time. It couldn't get any simpler than this. I opened the box, plugged this into my computer with the cord (included). Clicked "yes", when prompted to download software (took seconds to do this). Then started dragging files into the folder. Upload to this external hard drive is fast. 1 Terabyte of storage space - Nice!

I have a drive specifically to do daily back-ups, I was looking for a quick external drive to move/save my data from an old to a new laptop. It's compact and easy to use. I skipped using any of the software that comes with the drive by just copying my files from the old laptop directly to the portable hard drive.. Simple and quick to do and at a great price. Would have been nice to have a case but I was able to get an inexpensive one from eBay. Holds a lot of files and I even bought a second one for downloading my movies and TV shows to play on my Smart TV or my laptop when I am traveling. 1 TB holds a lot of movies and shows. Plugs right into your laptop or TV's USB port with the cable that comes with the drive. WD is a dependable product, so much so that we also invested in a MyBook to store pictures and music.

I purchased 'My Passport Ultra 1TB External Hard Drive' after reading several other reviews on the item. I liked the sleek design, the amount of storage and the reasonable sale price. Once I received the hard drive, I found it easy to set up and get started. I have not had any problems with it, and it automatically backs up my selected files once a week.

My WD-My Passport 1TB drive works great. Mac ready out of the box it is so easy to set up with time machine an protects all of my data. This is the second drive from WD I have bought, the first I gave to my daughter for her Mac three years ago and it is still working great. Back up drives are a staple in today's tech environment for both work and home. This offered enough storage for my family pics and important docs at a reasonable price. It's plug and play. Use the auto back up settings and software or manually move what you want. Either option has worked for me.

This device is very easy to use for anyone getting started with external drives. I use this for my laptop as well as my playstation 4. If you ever need to do something really quick and save it on the go, this is a good route to go and it is a very competitive price from a well-known brand.

I love the speed and storage capabilities of this little storage device. It's light, quiet and easily installs. The only negative so far is the questionable casing of the drive. My previous Passport seems to be a heavier, but sturdier material, so I wonder about the longevity and durability of this drive. The size and portability say you should take it anywhere, but I make sure I have it in a padded area just in case.

Bought this external drive for my XBOX one. Just plug it into a direct USB 3.0 port on your console (not on a USB hub, tried that and it didn't work. Must be a direct connection) and away you go! 3TB will give me great flexibility for keeping digital games and the physical size is a lot smaller than the other WB standing external drives with more TB. This is an excellent price for 3TB.

All I needed was a drive to make a quick total system backup of a computer before making an upgrade to Windows 10. This drive suited my needs perfectly. After I finish with my upgrade I will probably use this drive as a tertiary back up drive for photos and music. I already have network drives to do my primary backups but Passport is easy to add on with the USB and makes for an extra measure of backup. I do not use any of the software that came on the Passport. I use other programs for my back ups.

This is a very nice external hard drive as it is small and powered through the USB. I don't use any of the software it came with, but data transfers quickly with a 3.0 USB port and 1TB is plenty of storage space.

The drive is nice and small; sits on top of my computer case. Installation was totally easy. Flawless performance! I am glad I listened to my Son. He recommended this drive, highly.

For anybody looking to buy an external hard drive, this is definitely one you should consider! It provides 1TB of extra storage space (931GB in Windows because of how Windows interprets storage), which is plenty of space for any files, images, videos, etc. that you may be looking into backing up/storing. The hard drive also comes with WD software that you can install to maintain the hard drive's health, set a password (optional), and manage the hard drive. It's a very fast hard drive that is very slim, lightweight, and visually appealing. I would highly recommend it to anyone who needs more storage or to anyone who needs a backup hard drive.
