Customer Ratings & Reviews

I recommend this product. Great price, quality, and their customer service was very knowledgable and helpful. Easy to convert for use with Mac. (I called for help)

Needed storage space for my music and etc. And found this online on sale and couldn't turn it down and glad I bought it and easy to carry around.

Came quickly. Was smaller than I expected which comes in handy. I've only had it a week but it seems to be working great. Great product!

I've wanted to buy this for a while now and I'm happy that I finally did. It's small, convenient and works exactly as expected.

This product does it job, BUT... I had to contact WDC support and download and install new back up software before it would work with my computer. No where did I find the answer to download Smartware to replace the WD Backup program that comes with the back up drive. So, although I can recommend this product for backing up your computer, you need to be aware that you'll have to go to WDC support and download Smartware before you can use it for back up on Windows 10 computer.

Although the box does not say it's compatible with WIN XP, it is. Thanks to Kenneth at WD Service & Support, we found that, after installation, it will show up in hardware devices, but not in my computer (no drive letter, so no access). By using Computer/Disk management to initialize the drive, and then quick format it, it now will have the NTSB file system, and it will pick the next available drive letter, or you can change it. Thanks for the quick responses Ken! Patrick

I bought this product for additional storage on my xbone. It is perfect, compact, and a good price. No complaints!

This stores a lot, despite its compact size. I have no complaints with this product and would buy it again.

Nice compact size and no wall wart needed, powers with USB.Setup and data backup initiation was easy but need to refer to on line user manual for anything other than basics.

Have had this almost a year now. It is very easy to use and reliable so far. Glad we got it.

This item works amazingly. And it didn't cost very much either. Definitely worth its price.

This product was easy to use, excellent quality and very convenient.

Totally works as intended. No issues with it whatsoever.

Very easy to use. Fast transfers with plenty of room for pictures

Great hard drive, one of the best brand. I bought it because it said it was compatible with macs. This is true but you have to format the hard drive before you can transfer files onto the harddrive. In the past my hard drives would get extremely hot after being plugged in for a period of time. This one maintained temperature and worked efficiently.

Works grate, Good price, Perfect size.. Plenty of storage..

Bought this 1TB unit (black finish) for my wife's computer (smaller hard drive) after buying a 2TB unit (blue finish) for my computer. Both have worked flawlessly so far with no known problems. Bought both Western Digital units after my computer guru recommended WDs rather than another brand as the WDs have far fewer to no errors.

easy to use. i love the sleek design and the storage capacity for all my files!

This WD My Passport hard drive is a great device with plenty of memory for the price. This hard drive is very user friendly. I was able to back up all the documents, pictures and videos from my old windows laptop and transfer the data to my new MacBook Pro. I highly recommend for backing up all your important files.

Don't waste your time with other external drives. WD has the most reliable drives with the best Windows software for automating backups included in the box. The other brands might save you a few bucks in the store but WD will give you the best experience and this drive is no exception.
