Customers are saying
Customers enjoy the My Passport Ultra 1TB external hard drive's ease of use, ample storage, and reliable performance. Many appreciate its compact size and find it to be a good value for the price. The USB connectivity is also frequently praised. While some users found the included software less than intuitive, the positive feedback on other features outweighs this concern.

Western Digital is still the best; USB 3.0 is fast
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've used several brands of drives over the years, and although some WD's will fail, they're still the most reliable. The USB 3.0 standards are incredibly fast transfers, and the new cases are rather svelt, for an hdd.

Not all it's promised to be
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The software is lacking. This, along with the My Book I bought do not 'continuously update' as promised! The 'fix' from WD is to uninstall their software and reinstall it. But you would have to do this each time you want to update all your files!!! This is totally UNSAT.

Quick and easy connection!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had purchased a refurbished item to save $15 over this unit, same model and capacity. My Win10 PC would install the drivers and display the drive in Device manager but I could not access it, not in File Explorer or anywhere. Googled for about 20 minutes to troubleshoot before deciding to return to the online retailer, $15 savings not worth the trouble. This new unit was truly plug and play, and transfer speeds are truly SUPER fast! Great little unit to back up my video and movie files!
