I am a somewhat of an amateur photographer. I take hundreds of photos on an average shoot. I have found the Passport storage device (I have 4) to be an excellent place to off load my camera cards, edit and organize them. It is very convenient to go back to the Passport to select desired photos for post processing.

This is a great way to store my older files and keep my computer clean so it operates smoothly. Its easy to use and see whats on the drive and to move files back and forth. Its small sleek design is perfect to throw in my computer bag and not worrying about having to back it up at one place. Great product.

I needed a larger backup tool because I make so many photos. My old backup was 1T, and it was nearing capacity. I knew I could use the larger 2T external hard drive for my general backup and convert the 1T to a double backup of my photo hard drive.

No problems with drivers or anything, plug and play. Perfect drive for doing backups, good cost to performance. Would recommend.

I bought this as an addition to a 1 TB WD HD that had grown too small for my needs, thus I was already happy with the My Passport line of products. I'm really happy with this HD, it's light and portable and always works plus spools up quickly.

Compact external hard drive large amount of space. I have purchased and used many external drives over the years. I have always found western digital to be reliable and this external drive so far is working well for my storage needs.

Simple set up, straight forward out of box connect to computer and ta-da, done. Plenty space for a typical picture fanatic like myself, very portable, would prefer it could transfer files a bit faster, but I'm not sure it was limited by this hard drive or my computer, so I still give it 5 stars.

Did some brief research and found this to be the quick and easy way to expand my xbox one's memory and set-up was a breeze. No more removing games to add new ones. Another bonus is no extra power supply needed just the USB 3.0 connected to xbox. And the price was the same as the big online retailer.

First off, the My Passport Ultra hard drive is really sturdy in comparison to Buffalo and Toshiba portable hard drives. It feels like if I drop it, it wont break. (I will not try that but I'm just saying). It also transfers files fast as well. Currently 27mb on a usb 2.0. Impressed so far.

I really like WD softwares easy to use and it is quite fast wit a 3.0 USB great to carry your movie collection around .

Ive had several external disks and this one behaves a lot better than I expected. Easy to carry and pretty affordable.

Got this for my Xbox One (ran out of harddrive space) and this works great. Games download to it pretty quickly and there is no lag when using it. Plugged it in and was asked if I wanted to format it by the Xbox. Took like 30 secs and was up and running. Doesn't require a separate power cord.

Our family loves this brand. I have one and just bought another for my son in college. It makes it easier than saving everything to your computer or laptop. You can save files and bring them with you just as easy as a flash drive but with more saving space. Nice security procedures as well.

I bought this to replace my aging 1 TB, My Book hard drive. This has twice as muck space as my old drive and is a fraction of the size. It is also USB 3.0 compared to my old 2.0 drive.

Our new Passport 2 TB USB hard drive was just what the doctor ordered. We purchased the new drive to back up the hard drive in our office computer, when it was suspected to have a problem. The new drive was easy to set up and performed without a problem. Thanks for solving our problem

This is just what I needed to expand my ever shrinking storage. Its easy to install and set. Everything is easy to use and acts like an internal drive. The only real issue that I found is that it is very difficult to unmount so that you can disconnect it while the computer is still on. Every time I have to shut down my PC or laptop to disconnect it. I have not looked to see if I have to adjust a setting but right out of the box with a quick software install has this issue. Other than the disconnecting issue, not that bad of an issue as it does not affect the operation of the drive, I would highly recommend getting this if your getting a low storage warning.

The WD Passport is one of the best and most reliable portable drives around. I use them for storage of pictures and backups. I bought this one to take with me on my upcoming vacation. I use it with the family to download pictures daily. The reliability and cost makes it a clear choice.

I previously purchased and still own one of the previous My Passport 2TB hard drives. The My Passport Ultra is essentially the same drive in a nicer casing. The USB 3.0 gives me transfer speeds around 100 MB/s and being a portable drive, simply requires a single USB cable for data and power. I took a star off because they haven't really done anything to improve it over the previous drive. It is the same size, capacity and price, even though I bought the previous one 2 years ago.

Had tons & tons of pictures on my phone so decided to get my first Portable Drive was not disappointed... got it on sale, downloaded hundreds of pictures and still had tons of storage left! What more can I ask for... Can't wait to get myself another one to store my documents : )
