It has faster read and write speeds than PC internal harddrive. I used to storage a lot of pics and videos and my son load games. It is very practical to use it with my PC and with the Xbox one and PS4 at home.

So far..fast and good.. portable and compatible with windows 10 too..

I bought this to store my photos and organize them as well as make them portable. I have over 40,000 photos on this drive and have LOTS of storage room left. And, you simply plug it into your USB port to use it.

Very slim and compact, easy to store, super fast to plug in. Love how it is powered through the USB and no more power cables. 2TB for $99 is a great deal. I'm sure I will buy more as my photography business grows.

Works just like you want it to. Plug it into the USB port, have the system "recognize" it, and then use it for data or for back-up. The drives work with MAC and with Windows. They are fast. What more can I say?

External hard drives are a dime a dozen this day and age, and all work well according to what they are meant to do. But the size of storage you get for the price with this Western Digital can't be beat.

The WD My Passport 2 TB Drive is a compact USB 3.0 compatible Hard Drive powered from the host computer via USB. It fits easily in a shirt pocket, is blazingly fast with a USB 3.0 connection, and its price competitive with physically larger drives requiring external power. Price per Gigabyte is higher than 4 TB powered external drives, but its convenience and size more than make up for that. All in all, it is a very good drive for the money, especially if portability matters.

I absolutely love that I can carry 2TB around with me without needing an outlet. While there is nothing rugged about this device, and it does feel delicate; I have traveled all over with this in my pack and it's been fine. I would recommend this for anyone needing less than 3TB.

WOW. 2TB in a pocket sized drive ! Western Digital makes great hard drives, in my experience, and this one is no exception. I hooked it up to my old desktop & in just a few clicks, it was ready to go.
