I've been using this drive for about 6 years and all of them had lasted over 3 years.it's great for music pictures and all types of memory.

Using this drive as an external storage and transfer. I've formatted it as NTFS and use it between a variety of Macs and PC's. (For NTFS compatibility on the Mac I use Paragon NTFS, purchased separately). Seems to work fine on both USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports and the only downside, so far is the rotational speed of the disk, which limits the transfer speed. Of course, faster speed rotating discs are hard to find at this size or price.

I bought the unit to store music and movie libraries on. I didn't want to spend a bunch of money, but needed over a Tb of storage space. I also didn't want an external that would require a lot of space or it's own power source. This unit is perfect. It is light, portable, fully plug and play, and didn't require any time at all to begin loading files onto it.

The portability of this drive and no A/C outlet required make this a very inexpensive offline storage solution. I am using this as video storage for a WDTV Live Media Player and hope that it will hold up under heavy video streaming usage. Time will tell.

What can I say to help others to understand it is a very reliable drive. I have 3 in on my desk and there are a number of them in my office that others use. The USB 3 is fast and the drive does what it suppose to, move and keep information quickly and reliably. I carry mine in my briefcase and although the case has been set down hard or dropped off the hood of my car the drive has never once exhibited negative effects. I can not say that about some other brands that have dropped dead after a few mild shocks.

using it as an external hard drive for my xbox one. was on sale. took about 45 seconds to connect to my xbox to add 2t to the memory.

We have several of these, all for different things. They are compact and can be used for vacation, etc, but durable enough to last.

Great sturdy hard drive. Massive amount of storage for the small compact size. I have no complaints and would definitely buy again.

Easy to use and works well. I only had one small issue... I put movies on it & tried to play them using a PS3 and it didn't recognize the 2TB. I went back & bought a 1TB and it works fine. I will use the 2TB to store all my movies, pictures & music.

I use this to back up files and it was very easy and user friendly. I got it at a great price around the holidays with it being 2 TB.

This was bought as an upgrade in storage for the XboxOne. It works perfectly and has plenty of space. It's compact and quiet too.

I bought this because my kids filled up the xbox hard drive. It was on sale and installed no problem (my 11 did it without issue). I have been able to transfer games and other stored data.

I bought this as an external hd for my xbox one. It did not disappoint. Now I have tons of storage. Setup was very simple too.

Got this to expand my memory on my xbox one. Very easy to format and works great I doubt I will ever need more memory again

I bought this solely on the price and it exceeded my expectations. What a great item. Works perfectly with my XBOX ONE.

After studying reviews I purchased the 2T Passport for copying over large files from my laptop. I was not impressed by specs but found the usb3 to be quite fast and after my first virtual machine of 65Gb transfered to the drive I knew I made a good choice. Sure there are faster methods but this thing was on sale and a great bargain!! After 6 months in I decided to write the review after convincing my father to get one to back up his photos. No issues and still going strong!
