I used this portable drive to store the data from a crashed PC's internal hard drive. It x-fers the data quickly and smoothly. I've only had to access it a few times from my laptop and both times were very fluid. On sale it was a great deal for 2TB.

Got a good deal on this 2TB drive, works nicely to add extra storage for Xbox One.

We bought this product in order to copy and save too many files. The computer recognized the drive immediately. Went through the set up without any issues. I did not know what to do when the external drive asked me to run a program so I just stopped there and made a test copy and paste. Found the pasted item on the drive just as I believed would happen. Big smiles all around. Every file went directly to the drive without fail. I recommend this product to a friend and they made the purchase the next day. She had the same results as I did. Great product!

My old external 1 TB hard drive failed and I needed a replacement. Because my husband has had a great experience with his 1/2 TB Passport, and I'd used it, easily swapping between our laptops, I decided to buy a 2 TB version. Best price by far for the size/capacity, and the size is so small and unobtrusive that if I need to, I can pop it into my laptop case and take it with me. It is totally "plug and play" so I need not have it always "on line." Since it is powered by the USB cable, it is unnecessary to turn anything on or off, as I did with my old 1TB drive. Simplicity, indeed. I use it to Copy all my files, rather than doing Backups, and it works perfectly. Love it.

I bought this to replace a 1TB drive that I dropped. I use it for Time Machine backups and temp storage for photos I'm working on. The drive performs well. I can't even tell that is an external drive. It is as fast as using a drive internally.

I used WD external hard drives before but this is the first time I use their portable products. The drive works excellently as described. It's very handy to travel with. I'm very happy with my purchase especially it came with a price discount.

The software that comes with this device makes it so easy to use. Just plug it in the computer does the rest. No need to do anything else it sets itself up. You can fine tune and change options. Great to back up all you important content.

I have had several of these My Passport Ultra 2TB external USB 3.0 portable hard drives for 1.5 to 2 years now. All three perform well with my Acer Chromebook. They don't get hot in operation. Very good for the price.

I've purchased previous portable drives in the past and they've all bricked on me. This item has worked well for me so far - I'm just hoping that they've improved the technology enough so that it does not have the same fate as the others.

Bought this drive to back up a WD My Book drive that I have had for 5 years. The password protection and data encryption feature helps keep all of my personal data safe. And since it is portable I can carry my data with me if I need it.

This unit is small, lightweight and is plug-and-play. Works perfect as storage for movies and photos. Easily connects to any USB device.

Unfortunately, the XBox One does not have that much storage space so this is the perfect thing to purchase. It has so much room on it for downloadable content. My teen was super stoked with xmas present. Very happy with my purchase!

I bought this to carry all my photos and music on as I go from my home PC to my work laptop. I take it everywhere. It has performed well and I have had no issues. I still have tons of room. I am well satisfied with my purchase.

The casing around this portable drive seems durable the speed that it transfers data is fairly quick considering that there isn't an external power supply. It runs off the power of which ever computer you plug it into; I mention this because that used to be something to consider, not so much with this drive. I appreciate the price per storage ratio it makes this drive a bargain. There isn't much I can say about this drive because we've all seen external drives before this Western digital drive is really good.
