Have had no problems installing the hardware device. But on this machine, the drive continues to drop from a ready state (i.e. the USB connection drops, then reconnects 10 to 15 seconds later). Sometimes this actually kills the backup. It does generate many requests to scan the drive for issues, each time it drops). Curiously, the problem does not occur on my Laptop, but that is not where I keep the files I need to backup. I recently tried a Samsung SSD drive, with no problems. I have exhausted all the solutions from online trouble shooting suggestions, with no success.
