Good Experience so far

While the security feature is a good one, one has to unlock the drive manually to perform a backup. If there is a way for this to happen automatically via the automated backup schedule, I have yet to discover it.

A lot of extras software comes with it that will help you mange and secure your media! Easy to use. Great price, totally loved it

WD Ultra 2 TB

Currently have the 2 TB version. Installed it with no effort, on lines in a matter of minutes. Currently have backup with no problems. I might also add I had no problems with my first WD and I have no reason to think I will have any problems with my latest WD Ultra.

Light and fast for a mechanical HD

I have it velcroed to the lid of my laptop. I also have the 4 Tb version and it is much heavier and is twice as thick.

This works with my new MacBook

This works great to back up my files & easy to use with Time Machine on an Apple computer!

Excellent Back-Up HD to use for Time Machine.

Hence, the purchase of this WD-My Passport back-up HD. I've used it once, and it took about 2 1/2 hours for the first back-up. All worked well. Set-up is a no brainer, I look forward to using this WD-My Passport back-up HD for a few more years to come.
