Tons of storage space and takes up no space at all. I love that it's powered by USB so it only uses one cord.

I was in need of a new external hard drive to back up my digital music collection. I have used Western Digital external hard drives in the past and have never had any troubles with them. This HD is USB 3.0 compliant, which was nice for transferring a large amount of data onto it.

I bought this item to replace the same item that was defective. I bought 3 of the 3 gb items and one of them quit working after 1 month. I believe in the quality and value of this product and I will buy another again.

Great little drive. No AC power required and plenty of room for backing up data. Speed is good and I look forward to having this one for the long term. Replaces several smaller drives. Never had a problem with any of my WD portables and this seems like it will be no exception.
