Performance is great too, if using USB 3.0 I recommend it to people. Lot's of room for the buck. If you are looking for a portable drive, I'd buy this. + WD offers very good warranty... I love my drive.

easy mobile drive for backups

I use cloud storage for regular file access, but for device backups you still need a trusty local drive. So far this one has worked well and offers good capacity for the money.
