External drive was easy to install, and is working well. It's compact with a lot of storage space. The usb cord is short. This is not a problem for a laptop, but may prove challenging if you're using with a desktop.

Bought this drive to upgrade the storage of my Xbox One S w/512GB storage space. Moved everything I had loaded on the Xbox onto this drive - now I can take it with me to a friend's house and it will have all my games on it. Didn't buy the pretty green drive made for the Xbox as this one works fine, is hidden away and has more space. The Xbox will see the drive when you plug it in and format it for you. No problems so far!

I got this drive to capture photos and videos I would be taking on a trip. It was small, light, spacious, and USB3. It worked fine as an archival destination for images during a three-week trip - no problems.

Have used Western Digital for years and I am very pleased with the 3TB hard drive. This technology is great. Best Buy has great prices

I originally bought the equivalent 3TB Seagate drive but it had problems. I actually put a significant amount of data on it and after 4 days, it failed. I should have known! This is my 5th Western Digital external hard drive in 7 years they're ALL still running fine. Also, out of two Toshiba external drives I've bought, one has crashed. I've learned my lesson, I'm sticking with Western Digital hard drives from now on.

My computer recognized it right away, I love not needing a separate power cord since it is connected to my laptop. Wish it came in a variety of colours, but that is cosmetic.
