Great hard drive, but a warning

It comes with a short USB-C cable and an adapter for standard USB 2.0. But when I tested the speed, using the adapter cut read/write speed by nearly 66%. If you need to use it with an older computer, get a USB-C to USB 2.0 cable. I bought a cheap Anker cable and the speed was just as good as USB-C to USB-C.

Good Back-up for the Price

Set-up with my HP laptop was a bit of a trial-and-error. The software was not as easy to install and it took me several tries before it cooperated. The first back-up didn't copy all of the files and I later realized that the user must check all of the files/folders on a C drive list. That list was not apparent to me on the first BU. With that said, although opening the icon to get to a new BU is clunky, the actual full BU was a breeze.
