This is a great reliable compact hard drive for quick back ups, supporting 3.0 USB. This is a great hard drive for the price. Highly recommended.

Excellent external hard drive. Great for uploading an entire back up to be saved when restoring or replacing a hard drive. Also, great for storing high memory usage videos and photos.

I use this USB powered external hard drive to store VMware sessions on. These sessions can grow over time when taking snapshots of the different configurations or making clones so the 500GB size is nice. The USB 3 gives me fast transfer rates and requires no additional power source. It's compact and I can move it from one PC to another. Travels well also.

I just needed a basic, easy to use hard drive to back-up some music and picture files when I reimaged my computer. This item meet my expectations and I have had no complaints.

Absolutely no issues with this hard drive. The slim design, along with the rounded corners and edges of the case, make it easy to slide into a pocket in my computer back.

I was looking to backup my MacBook for months and finally did so with the WD Ultra. WD has always received rave reviews and this one was on sale so I didn't have to decide on much. The whole process was a breeze. You have to erase this drive through Disk Utility on a Mac first and format it to Mac OS Extended Journaled before you do a backup. That took about 20 seconds. Afterward, a time machine backup did all the work. I paid the extra $5 to get the Ultra because it provided faster speeds than the 500GB for Mac. You'll want to spend the extra few bucks for this stellar drive. Can't go wrong with it.

I was an owner of my laptop for only a year before it went bad on me all of a sudden. So purchasing the hard drive to back up all of my pictures, was a life saver!

The software was the main problem- didn't install properly on an older windows computer and often makes me wonder if it's backing up properly.

Fast transfer rates, small foot print, and portability all in one package; what more could you ask for? I highly recommend this drive to everyone.

Plenty of storage on this devise. I bought it on sale, which made it a better buy. I don't think I will ever use up all of the storage on here.

Has more than enough capacity to store all my information. Glad to have something to put it all on when so may viruses are eating up computers.
