This is a great external drive for storage, backups and Time Machine when you don't need the speed of a solid state drive.

love how small 4tb of storage is now. It isn't super light, but I that really doesn't bother me as I keep it in my office to download large files I don't want to keep in a cloud account. Great price as well.

Yet to have any problems. Seems fine. Made for a Mac and I use it as such.

The transfer speeds are pretty good and it only comes with one packaged software, giving you the flexibility to structure backups and syncs how you want to without having to first remove a bunch of unneeded software.

This hard drive was simple to use. Unpack to drive from the box, connect the cord, and, voila, you have a harddrive to run the time capsule as a backup for your computer. This 4TB will be great for me for several years.

Works well and has a great amount of storage four the price. Used with a mac book with no problems.

As a blogger I tend to take a lot of photos and I was constantly running out of space so I decided to upgrade. This 4TB so far has not failed me and it has space for all my video and pictures.

Works great for extra storage on my iMac. I have a few of them.

So far its worked exactly how I wanted it to. Its quite simple so it either store the stuff I want or it doesn't and so far it has worked.

Buy another Western digital product. I purchased this passport and moved 10,000 photos that were just digitally scanned for the request of an Apple technician. They mentioned that iCloud was not the best way to store photos and then I should move them to a separate hard drive. I purchased this passport and moved everything and then began hours worth of work of organizing the photos by year and person, saving it only on the passport before moving them back to iCloud or Google photos. Within a couple months, the passport stopped working and the data was unrecoverable. I went to a recovery center and the estimate was $13-$2700 to restore the data. The motor for the Passport was not spinning so the motherboard needed to be replaced and it was gonna be a minimum of $1300. I filed a claim with Western digital and after several conversations, they said that they weren’t going to reimburse me for what I paid for the passport or for what I paid for diagnostic services because I didn’t buy it directly from Western digital. I have gotten a complete runaround from WD and the frustration of having to start over on organizing all of these photos once I eventually pay the scanning company to send me a new download has been overwhelming. I have lost hours of time and organization, and the chance to provide all three of my kids with a beautiful book for Christmas as a result. It’s a matter of the company reimbursing me for roughly $150 for the passport and the $400 for the diagnostics and having to fight for any resolution. To be told they cannot provide reimbursement because it was purchased through Best Buy is unacceptable. Never again will I buy a WD product!

It was easy to use self explanatory would defend you buy again for myself I bought this for my daughter who just started college and it worked well for her so I’m thinking of buying it for myself

Easy to set up, I had a nice salesman who sold it to me, very helpful. Smaller profile than I thought, tho. If I remove anything from the backup, I have to log into it; any way I don't have to do that?

Like it because it: is so easy to set up; is MAC-ready; can be set up and forgotten since it automatically backs up all files. Good for "non-techies" who just want something simple that works, without a huge learning curve.

This external hard drive is easy to use, basically plug and play ease of use.

Its good, its fast, but for some reason, every time my Mac goes to sleep. so does this. and it won't wake up, I can't even eject with out a FORCE REJECT. and plug back in... im all good. hate that.

This is the third and largest of these units I have had. Installation was easy and it works without giving it a second thought. Every thing should be thei easy and effective!

There's not a lot to say about this product other than, it does what it says it does. Can you believe that 4 TB is this size now? Wow. And being formatted for Mac, you don't have to do anything to it to get started.

Great source to store my many photographs and videos of ten grandchildren.
