Drive is great. Cable and connector are junk

Best Buy refunded a discount which I used to purchase a new cable. Unacceptable for a brand name like Western Digital. The drive itself works great. Very fast with the Thunderbolt connection to my MacBook Pro.

Needed Factory Reset

At one point, it stopped working. I had to contact support and they said that can happen and I had to do a factory reset. The person helping me did not go all the way through the fix, so it still didn't work. I had to work with yet another tech to finish the process. They said it can happen when Apple does an update. Not sure about this product.
