This works as it should and hasn't given me any problems. I don't need 4TB of space now, but I didn't want to replace it when Time Machine fills it.

This is my 4th set of these external hard drives...I have been very pleased with them and use them for storing photos...I now merged all the other drives onto this one drive and still have plenty of room.

The WD app that you are required to download with purchase of the hard drive is very user-friendly for once, and it feels like they put a lot of effort into making this hard drive and the app very robust for us MAC users. Overall, I'm very satisfied with my purchase (even after owning one for 6 months) and have decided to purchase another.

I had to buy one for school and at first, I had some trouble connecting it with a windows computer but if you got a Mac computer you can change the settings to make it work and it works great with my iPad too.

I bought this for my mom for backing up her iMac photos. It worked great and has a very fast download speed.

Just got my own Macbook, and this portable hard drive makes it so easy to use Time Machine for backup. It's awesome!

I first had tried a SSD drive, being I had a iMac was told it would be the fastest. I could never get it set up to backup daily, so I returned and bought this one, set up was easy and works great!

I am not real techno savvy so I had my son help me back up my photos with the WD Passport Ultra for Mac. It works well and I was able to back up all the photos that are on my MacBook Pro. The cable has an adapter so it can be used with both USB and 3.0.

Easy to use and can also convert to both Mac and Pc.

I need secure backup. For the price I now feel safe and have room to grow. The only reason I'm not awarding it 5 stars is it's not solid state but for the money what do I expect? It is fast and came with both cable options for old and new USB hookup. Maybe a 5 star would have been chosen if it were a little more compact. Very pleased.

I have several external storage devices but they have been plugged into PC/Windows and Mac back and forth for years. Finally this one is Mac specific and it is sooo fast. Needed some specific Apple app files and this did the trick. Highly recommend!

Great product for the price and size! I like the look of the model and the compact size it comes in. The best feature is that it is compatible to my Apple products. No hassle, just plug and use.
