It does the job in a "small and sleek" package
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I run a Linux system and needed a way to offload my saved audio and video media. I chatted with a "Geek Squadder" who confirmed for me that Linux would "see" the USB drive when I plugged it in. He was right! I connected the drive to a USB port, the system recognized it, and I safely offloaded my data (it "took a while" as I had a lot to offload AND it's "only" a USB 2 connection! :) ). I "dismounted" the drive ("Ejected" via System command - you ** MUST DO ** this in Linux for "removable" media!), unplugged it, and stored the drive "elsewhere" until I need it again. NOTE: The supplied WIndows "file handling" utilities (located on the drive) are not needed for Linux and will be "offloaded" to an optical disc to free-up more space for data storage.

My Passport Ultra gets the job done

This drive was able to take all the data and much more with lots of room to spare.

A very good accessory drive
