Purchased this drive to back up my work It's a super easy plug and play deal. I backed up several pc's and laptops without issues. I choose the metal casing which is finished really well.

Western Digital makes the best backup drives, as long as you get a 1 GB model or smaller. I didn't mind paying $10 more for the metal housing. It seems to stay cooler than the plastic ones.

This hard drive is excellent in many ways such as the way it looks and how slim it is and also the software that comes along with it. You can set a password on the hard drive in case you lose it.

At first with the amount of games I have for my Xbox I thought this wouldn't be enough... but I was wrong I have 15+ games on my drive and it's still going love this product

This is a good choice if you don't want to pay for solid state.

This gadget is fun and defines standards for what a hard drive is. It's as easy as plug, open connection, and copy files from your desktop or laptop. I was amazed at its simplicity.

I replaced a year old one with this while Western Digital mailed me a new one. The new one only cost me the postage to return the bad one. Like the metal cover better than the plastic covers.

This hard drive is an excellent product. It's incredibly fast, and with the password protection and encryption, it's a no brainier when it come to portable hard drives!!

Purchased as additional storage for my PS4. Working well so far, auto formatting was seamless and I transferred all my game data to it. Metal gives it a cool look too.

This drive was easy to set up and use. The only two drawbacks are that you need to set up an ongoing time to complete a back up and also, it does not come with a carrying case.

Pretty much a plug and play device right out of the box. Easy to navigate and extract data I desperately needed to get back to business. For me there's no competitor.

Runs quick with USB 3.0. Very Durable case with the metal edition, yet lightweight. Wish it was a SSD drive for quicker video renders but works well and hasn't failed.....yet

the device is great but not completely user friendly had to call the company to get it going.

Faster than others, nice shiny metal case. Works fine in my macbook and my windows desktop. Metal case is better than plastic the other models of WD. Recommended!

An external hard drive was requested as a birthday gift. This one had the TB requested and the price was ok. The re river was please with quality of the item.

This is a great hard drive at a great deal. It's capacity is perfect and for the price it can't be beat. The brushed metal finish makes it look beautiful.

i have own many external hard drives but this one is the best. Plus i bought the extended replacement warranty from bb so i am good for couple of years. 5 Stars
