I have several WD external disks, for backup and portability of photos between computers. All have served me well. I chose thie metal casing on this one just because it was a present and looked special.

Good read/write speeds with USB 3.0. Enough storage to keep backups of everything I need within reach off site when internet access isn't available to reach the server. And the case is nice and shiny.

i purchased this to backup my home pc. I like the small form and design of this external drive. Comes with USB 3.0 so helps speed thing up if you have 3.0 capability.

I have downloaded onto this external hard drive, but have not uploaded to my new computer yet. It took a very long time to download, but that was probably due to my old computer and the amount of data that I downloaded. I think this was a good investment.

It only works for computers. Not IPad. I am new at this.

This was purchased as part of a bundle with a computer and a few other items. Other terabyte hard drives were going for as much as the bundle was altogether.

Great addition to my 2013 Surface Pro 2. In 2013, 110 GBs HD storage seemed sufficient. This WD drive got me back going helping store the many pictures and videos I had accumulated over the years. Easy setup and fast transfer rate via USB 3.0.

Lot faster than the previous 2.0 that I had. I keep this one vacuum sealed in the glove compartment of my car - just in case something happens at the house.

I got this as a replacement for my old hard drive which died on me paid 10$ more for this brand but so far its a really good drive. Buy with Confidence
