Great way to back up your data. You can set it up to automatically back up at a set point in time, or choose to back up manually if you wish.

I got this product to store tons of pictures that I had on my phone and laptop. I was pleasantly satisfied with the results and how easy it was to use.

Super backup system for old system. while a bit slow on slower transfer speed still gets job done. Would definately buy for laptop computer

I usually use a different brand, but thought I would give WD a try. Works great and no complaints....and I like the exterior design as well.

Good quality portable hard drive. Still backed by a three year warranty unlike the majority of drives that only offer a 1 year warranty.

My portable hard drive has every thing I need and Best Buy has a good selection to pick from,no need to run all overlooking for item I want.

After formatting and then transferring data this Passport External Hard Drive started making grinding noises and I had to exchange it. The new one is ok, but it does not have a sturdy feel to it. I will go for a Seagate when I get another.

You load the software and it backs up your PC automatically on whatever schedule you select. You'll never forget to back up again.

So far so good. This was a replacement for another WD drive that didn't last a year. Thankfully it was backed up as I would have lost a lot of work.

I had been wanting an external hard drive and when I had problems with my computer, my portable passport hard drive came highly recommended. I feel very comfortable knowing that my pictures and other important data is safe.

Easy to use plug and play and save data, pictures etc. 1tb is somewhat small these days but plenty of space for all my stuff

It does exactly what it says it should do with the exception of not really allowing you to back up you data on dropbox. Their system for this is out of date and no longer allows you to have an online backup.

I do professional litigation for various government entities and needed an outboard hard drive to back up my files. No regrets here.

Purchased this for my son's PS4 as an external storage device. Plugged in, formatted, and that's all. Working perfectly.

neede some external drives. WD makes great solid hard drives...this is a no brainer....picked em up. They have worked out well.

Bought it in a nice deal, Item as expected,seems to work Ok. Will add later how long it stays this way. I also bought geek squad protection which was not expensive to cover for unexpected circumstances

After explpring ao many optilns for back up drives i bought ulyra metal edition . I like tne metal look and works perfectly

Western Digital has always offered dependable hard drives. Well worth the money. Works right out of the box. Plug in and play.
