I got this for extended storage on my PlayStation five it works excellent I love it. I would recommend it to anybody easy to use.

So far it is working as advertised. I currently have it tied to my Xbox one and so far the games that are installed in it are playing as well as they were when they were installed in the local system storage. I got tired of having to uninstall and reinstalling apps just to accommodate space in the local drive.

This has been a great external hard drive for my Xbox One X. The only downside is that it won’t play the new Xbox Series X on my Xbox series X but does allow me to continue storing those games that have not been upgraded to Series X. This then saves room internally.

It's hard to review these kinds of things because, it's a storage device. Can you drop files to it easily without issue? Yes! Is it fast? For a external USB HDD? Seems normal! What I do like about it though is it looks nice while being small and for me the nice bonus is there's no external power brick. I got a lot of wires around my PC since my PC is an art station, work station and for gaming. So, with all the extra stuff hanging out it's nice to have 1 less device eating up an outlet. There's no software to fuss around with, you plug it in, PC recognizes it and you can move files there. If you're not expecting SSD like speeds you should be happy with this. The one complaint I guess you could levy against it is, I don't think it would stand vertically very reliably and you're paying more for less space. You can get another WD drive that's physically much larger with a power brick, with more storage for cheaper/same price. Just an FYI, if you're looking to gut this to get the HDD for internal use, I hear it won't work. It's got a different connector inside. Over all it's solid and is working great for me as a back up device.

It small that I like and holds a lot of memory too

It simply works great and is fast on a USB 3 port. I use it every day. This drive makes it fairly easy to transport large files between computers as opposed to networking two computers where Windows seems to throttle speeds. With the USB 3 interface this drive is quite reasonably speedy. I'm quite pleased with it.

This is a must needed purchase if your moving from PS4 to PS5. I moved all my data for PS4 to this device freeing up the space on my PS5 petty hard drive. Then when PS plus gives me a there monthly free games, it is saved to the external. The games boots very fast, I LOVE IT!

I recently built a new pc using an NZXT H1 and had limited storage space. The case has room for 2 x 2.5" Drives. I filled those with 1Tb SSD's and decided on this 4TB portable HDD from WD to store my single player Steam games. It's quick and doesn't run hot with long use. Has a very premium feel to it.

These WD-Black UBS drives just work. They are as fast as a spinning disc can be. Love the metal case. I've been through 10) 4 or 5TB in the last couple years for client projects.. no issues.

This external drive kept the family from making so many tough decisions on save games, storage, and continuing to have fun together on the same console.

First I could only have like 2 or 3 games on my console but now with this 4tb bad boy, I can’t download more games & more space for anything in my console

Rock solid, plug and play with no headaches, great aesthetics. You know it's a good external gaming drive when you hook it up and forget it's there thirty minutes later... because it's doing it's exact job without any need for attention.

The WD Black Hard Drive provides much needed storage for any gaming library. So far, I have stored my entire PS4 library on this HD, freeing up needed space for other apps and items on my PS4. The item setup is also very easy. If you need extra storage for your gaming library, pick up one of these ASAP.
