This was shown to be compatible with the PS5 and it is. It works very well and is simple to set up and use. I've stored upwards of 50 games on it with no issue. I've played several directly from the drive and had no lag or other problems. I would recommend it to other PS5 users looking for that perfect external hard dirve.

I needed more storage on my Xbox one and an external hard drive that’s compact to travel with. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. It’s compact, durable, easy to use and stylish. I will definitely be recommending it to anyone that needs more storage for music, games, videos etc.

I bought this Product to store my Movies and TV shows I have acquired over the years. Transferring from DVD to my computer. I was a little worried about the speed of transfer from my Old Computer with USB 2.0 but, Surprisingly I was getting 22mbps to 32mbps and around 90mbps to 110mbps on my Newer computer with USB 3.1 So far so great! No issues or delay pulling up any Files on my Plex server. I do leave this on all the time and I figured since its Rated for GAMING it could handle the low demand. This really is the BEST BANG for your BUCK! Small and Discreet blends in with my Tower other than the built-in LED. OH and another Thing! It says it only works with Windows 8 or Higher. I have Windows 7xp on the Old Computer, immediately recognized it as a External HDD and Plug-in Play was no problem! But I do suggest having USB 3.0 or Higher to really benefit from the MAX Transfer rate.

This hard drive is fast and was a great deal at 100 dollars. It's faster than standard drives and does not cost any more than a regular drive. I use it as external storage for my playstation 4 plus, or whatever they call the faster version of the playstation 4. It works great, and I've had no problems with it. I also use one as a drive for my computer. I use it as an external drive to hold all the files I need for academic research, and have no problem working with datasets directly from the drive. I highly recommend it. It is fast, and works with the proper encryption required for data security. It also works with my playstation so that's a plus too. It's basically a better drive for the same price.

Good amount for the price and with USB 3.2 is fast enough even for games, is small like a wallet but is bulky, feels resistant

I loved this gaming hard drive. It's way more portable than some of the other external hard drives I've seen or come across. It's black and not some extra flashy color that doesn't blend well with the MacBook Pro anesthetic setup, unless you don't care about that sort of thing. It's not noise and loud so that was also a plus and it was fairly easy to understand and set up to configure. The only thing I'd really say about the WD_BLACK P10 4TB Game Drive External USB 3.2 Gen 1 Portable Hard Drive is that like most hdd/ssd it's fragile which comes off as a huge shocker considering how thick, bulky, and metallic looking it is. If dropped, tugged, or any type of knock to this hard drive happen it can and will no longer work. It's durability in terms of longevity is quite great on that spectrum but as far as the durability goes on the external damaging goes... not so much. In conclusion be careful but this goes without saying. Over all great product! OH I forgot to mention that it's compatible with both Apple and Microsoft so no matter what your gaming online your files will be converted over easily without wait. If you have lots of files to convert over this would definitely benefit you in the long run.

I had purchased the WD Black 4TB External USB 3.2 Gen Portable HDD for when I needed an external HDD to backup my PS4 and I'm glad I came across this particular item. The price was reasonable and I've predominantly owned Western Digital products for several years when it comes to hard drives as I've learned that they produce some of the most reliable hard drives unlike other brands - at least from my experience anyways. The only I drawback for this is that it isn't a SSD but then again, the price would be even more astronomical if it was. I highly recommend this external HDD if you're looking for something portable, reliable, and affordable.

I have had the original Xbox one with 500 gb since it’s release several years ago. For some reason I was finally tired of deleting and installing games because of storage issues. I got this drive on sale for a really good price at 4tb worth of space. I wish I could get a ssd for the same price and space but this will do. The drive is built durable, which I like. As a photographer I have 2 other WD drives and they’re ok but built with plastic. I almost wish I used this drive for photography instead. Games start fast, transfer speeds are decent. I’m satisfied almost a month later.

Excellent price for a 4TB external hard drive. Easy set up & re-formatting after connecting it to my PS4. I moved several games from my PS4 internal hard drive to this new WD external drive. I also loaded many games from my PS4 library to this drive. It takes about the same amount of time to load games onto this WD hard drive as it does to load them onto the PS4 internal hard drive. I still have plenty of room left to load many more games. So far, it works flawlessly. I am very pleased with the purchase of this WD hard drive.

You cannot imagine what something like this means to an old computer person like me. At a large company I worked for, they took us on a tour of the machine room to see the Terabyte of storage they had purchased. About the size of a very small desk. Now, here I am, holding FOUR Terabytes of storage in a device that's the size of a deck of cards. It apparently doesn't have mechanical parts. Amazing. It was designed for gamers, but I don't care; I'm using it for copies of entire books of genealogy records. I've already used 1/8 of it, but that was for all the stuff that was slowing my main computer down. Now I can transport all that research to wherever it needs to go.

This drive works with the PS5 seamlessly, and provides plenty of room to load up on games. PS4 games load quicker than they did on the PS4, so this is definitely a must have for enjoying both generations of gaming!

The amount of space on this is so rediculous lol. Works well with all the games that I have installed on it, never have had any stutter issues or anything of the sort. Really good price too for a 4 terabyte drive . By buying this you basically insure you never ever run out of space .

been using it for a year and works well, I mostly run my rig 24/7 and this device is pretty fast and keeps up when I travel with this thing on airplanes it's nice and sturdy! the only thing that is concerning is that it gets a bit hot after awhile I haven't had an issue of heat failure but it's something I noticed, so I normally keep it in a well ventilated area other than that it works fine, a bit expensive though

This is a second purchase for this item as I have been very happy with one bought in 2020. I have replaced a WD desktop drive with these, easy to transport when desired. I have had several 2T drives, prefer these as are very compact for 4T.

Super fast and excellent build quality. I use it for xbox series X and works very well. No overheating or noises clming out of this device. Highly recommended.

Small, massive capacity, and fast. Best small hard drive I've had. It's formatted with exfat, and it works with macs and windows interchangeably. And it's so quiet too. Only the top is metal, but that doesn't matter. It's a great drive. Fast, large, quiet...

This is my second purchase of this particular model with me purchasing a potential third external hard drive in the near future! I love how versatile these drives are as they can work for both Windows and Apple OS (formatting disk is required to work properly with Apple)! WD has been, in my humble opinion, always a reliable to gravitate towards if your in the market for external hard drives and this one does not disappoint! All in all, if you plan on using this for gaming, multi media, or storing your old photos and documents, this is easily one of the better options floating around in a market full of competitors! And with WD behind it, I know itll last me years to come!

The WD_BLACK P10 4TB (WDBA3A0040BBK) hard drive seems to work well with a standard PS4. Notes: * The 4 TB P10 hard drive connects to the PS4 by one USB cable. * The 4 TB P10 hard drive is physically smaller than the 8 TB D10 model. * The 4 TB P10 hard drive powers by the PS4 USB port and does not use an AC plug, unlike the 8 TB D10 model that has an AC adapter & plug. * At the time of the April 16, 2020 PS4 system software version 7.50 you can format the hard drive as extended storage for the PS4 by navigating to Settings/Devices/USB Storage Devices/WD_Black P10 Game Drive/Format as Extended Storage. Additionally the hard drive can be set as the "Application Install Location" by navigating to Settings/Storage then opening the options menu and choosing extended storage as the application install location. * At the time of the April 16, 2020 PS4 system software version 7.50 if the hard drive is assigned as extended storage it will act as storage for "Applications" only. Accordingly Capture Gallery, Saved Data, and Themes will stay on the PS4 system storage. * Applications can be moved from the PS4 system storage to the extended storage. During this process the move of the application will take priority and can not be run in the background.

I currently use this for my Ps5 and it works wonders. It’s fast and games are easy to transfer over! It’s reliable and handy when I need to unplug and Travel with my console.
