Excellent external drive. Fast, dependable and lots of storage.

Been using it as a game/media archive for the past few weeks, stable and running well so far. Speed is what you would expect from an hdd, just over 100mbps. Build quality is good, but only the top panel is metal. Would recommend.

Fast drive for my ps4. Plenty of space for all my games.

I used the WD BLACK Drive for my Xbox one X and I was well "Wow" it moved about 2.3TB of games and game data in record time. I was impressed. I'm in the IT Business and without getting technical it was nice to see a product work as advertised and more.

5TB is a lot of storage space for my PS4 games. I have at least up to 40 if not more PS4 games and I still have about 2TB left. Good quality construction. I put it in the box when not in use; this way I don't have to buy a case for it to travel with thus saving me money

I bought two WD_Black 5GB hard drives not for gaming, but for storage. For that purpose, the units are doing the job, so far. They are silent and don't seem to overheat. I expected them to be faster when reading writing, but they just behave as a regular mundane hard drive. Since they'll be only used for storage and not editing or any other activity that would require high speeds when transferring data, it's really not a problem to me. I can't really tell how they behave when used for their original purpose which is gaming.

Solid external drive seems well built and is pretty quite

Been Great so far (2 weeks). Got it because the WD Black name, the size 5T and the 3-year warranty. Runs hot but I always use the small cheap fans on my external hard drives. I use hard disk sentinel to keep track of the temperature. Hope to have a long time. So far the WD drives have been good to me.

This hard drive is perfect for the new ps5. I can store all my games on here and still have plenty of space available on this as well as on my PS5. Definitely worth the value and will save you the frustration of deleting games to save up space.

Looks really cool, there's nothing else like it in external drives. So far operation has been accurate, predictable and fast enough. Its no SSD, but I don't notice that its slower than anything else I've used. I'm using it on a MacBook Air M1.

Bought this for external storage for PS5. Games take about 15 minutes to move on or off. Sad that PS5 can only hold about 5 games on internal storage. No external power source needed. Plugged into PS5, formatted and started moving “last year’s” sports game over to it.
