Bought this so I can save games that I want to play later and free up storage on ps5 to download new games. Cheaper then an ssd. Takes a little while to transfer and you can’t play ps5 games directly off it. You can play ps4 games so that helps.

Sure it's not the fastest out there but it doesn't have to be. I haven't noticed any lag playing the games I have stored on this external. Don't plan on using this as storage for ps5 games, get an internal ssd for that!

Use with PS5 to store PS4 games on it. Super quick transfer rate so you don’t notice any lag or delay. Great product at a great price. If you need storage for your games then buy this drive.

So if you're on the fence about the internal vs. external than go with the external. That way you don't have to worry about causing damage to your PS5.
