    It’s ok. The one thing that I don’t like is that I had purchased a two protection and it only lasted a little over a year. So I’m just going to get a one year instead of a two year. Other than that it’s good no issues.

    Webroot Isn't Compatible With macOS Big Sur

    I originally purchased Webroot in 2017 for my MacBook Air, and renewed it automatically every year, most recently in Oct. 2020. I just discovered that Webroot has not scanned my laptop since 8/1/20 (before the renewal), and that the software had not updated to the most current version since 11/2019. I now have a (minor) virus on my MacBook. I tried several times to upload and execute Webroot, but nothing worked, so I contacted the Geek Squad via chat. After nearly 2 hours on chat with two techs, they made an in-store appointment for me. They also promised me a full refund on my Webroot subscription. I went to my local BestBuy geek Squad appt. on 2/13/21, and the Geek Squad tech told me that Webroot is not compatible with macOS Catalina or Big Sur (I'm on Big Sur). He sold me and then installed Trend Micro on my laptop. Trend Micro works fine. The tech gave me a phone number to call to get a refund from Best Buy for Webroot. I called that number today, spoke with a tech, and the tech refused to give me a full refund, despite the fact that the software has not worked at all for 6 months. I asked to speak to a supervisor, and the tech said the supervisor was busy and would call me in "20-30 minutes". That was 2 hours ago - still no call back. I have never been so disappointed in Bestbuy or any product purchased from them.

      Webroot works with all versions of MacOS so it sounds like that tech was unaware of how to fix your issue. Sorry to hear you had a poor experience! Webroot

    Question effectiveness

    I have used webroot thru BB for years. Program is getting more and more sluggish. They say its upgraded thru the cloud but I am not sure of that. Program doesnt keep accurate account of times scanned, etc. I trust it less and less. For the money, there are higher rated programs.

    Poor customer service. This says its for windows or mac computers, My mac was unable to download . It said microsoft windows applications are not supported on mac os. And I was unable to get through to tech support. I will not be buying anything else from best buy again.

    can't cancel. can't get support. We don't remember when we purchased this. We had to even google what the heck it was. Only noticed it because it charged to a CC that we had paid off and didn't use. Awful service, no way to contact anyone for help.
