This product which I have used for multiple years and has done very well at protecting my computers from outside troublemakers changed the manner of installation for this time around. Instead of a CD for installation, only a key was in the box and installation was performed by downloading and installing via internet. At 1st, it asked me to purchase the product again, so I uninstalled the current expired product and then the download was completed without a 2nd purchase (like I was going to do that anyway. Installation was complete on the 1st computer after a few tries and I went about my usual morning routine of sites to visit. Installed the software on the 2nd computer after 1st uninstalling the previous version, no issues. Went to install the software on the 3rd computer and it caught a threat on the scan, but upon the reboot it went to a 'black' screen and wouldn't load windows. Several attempts met with the same result and I informed my wife to use the computer I normally used. This computer later met with the same fate, the 'black' screen. Running both computers in 'safe' mode, I could not find an issue so my nephew was called after some time. After a process of failures to resolve the problem, he uninstalled Webroot and the problem was resolved. I did the same on the other machine and again the problem was resolved. The 3rd machine never had a problem and still does not, all computers are running Windows 7. I then went to Best Buy to either be reimbursed or allowed to purchase something else as a credit, I was disappointed completely as after I explained the issue I was informed by I guess the manager the only thing Best Buy would allow him to do is substitute another copy of Webroot for the one I returned after a little discussion which was fruitless, I asked if I was just out the money, in which he replied, 'Yes." I left the store totally dissatisfied as a result.

I already had McGee on dell. I really didn’t need to purchase this.

I received this item and when I tried to install it on my computer machine it would not let me. First of all I thought that I was buying a cd disk not a download version. I still as of this time don’t have it on my computers. I have purchase this software for the last 6 years and never had any problems except for this download version. Please in the future send my the cd disk instead of a download version which I prefer. I worked on the install all day yesterday

Confusing to install. Locked out of my owner console and can't install on second device. "No" response from customer service online help request.

bought a 2yr subscription, downloaded it and only got 1yr! so far no results from web root(emailed and a phone call) with no replys on either. trip to best buy didn t help either!gave me the phone number and said they knew nothing about the problem.(should of asked for money back)

I bought this thinking I could use the security for our phones and iPads cause it says 6 devices on the ad . I didn't look at what it says on the box before downloading it on our computer so when I tried to download it on our other devices, it wouldn’t work. So my son checked the box and it says 6 computers not devices. Deceiving ad.

Does not work with the new mac/Apple programs. Causes a lot of problems and is very difficult to get off the computer. Computer had to be worked on in person with the geek squat to figure out what was going on as well a a physical removal to get the computer fully operational. Could not do any remote sessions due to the compatibility issues. Works fine on our windows computers.

Not happy with this I thought it covered way more than it does I’m very disappointed.

Sadly, Webroot has just "dropped the ball". First, this is advertised and sold as a "Physical" product. It is NOT. Webroot provides an empty box with instructions on how to "Download" the software. This is confirmed by Best Buy's online listing. Next, the Instructions do NOT always produce the page indicated; Leaving the user to "Figure Out" what to do next . Next, there doesn't seem to be a way to determine which Webroot version is being installed, just the generic term "Webroot Ant-virus". Finally, Less than a week later, Best Buy advertises the same product "On Sale" at a 25% lower price.

I’ve used Webroot for many years. The price, protection, and number of computers covered are great. It doesn’t use the amount of computer memory as other pieces of software will.
